Maurice
Mack
Your
chief guide and host has lived in the Winisk and Peawanuck
area on the Hudson Bay coast all of his life. A Cree Native, his
extensive knowledge of the land, the environment and its inhabitants
give him a unique perspective into the ways of this wilderness area
which he proudly passes on to visitors.
Maurice
has been involved in tourism for many years and is the owner/operator
of Wild Wind Tours. His main priority is that his guests have a
safe and truly memorable visit to the Hudson Bay

Margaret
Mack
A
nurse by profession, Margaret plays an important role in the operation
of Wild Wind Tours by ensuring guests are looked after from the
time they arrive in Peawanuck until they are ready to board the
flight for home.
Margaret
is reponsible for shuttle services to and from the Peawanuck Airport,
transports canoes and gear, arranges community tours and directs
visitors to places of interest in the community.

Fletcher
Mack
Maurice
and Margaret's son Fletcher has spent the majority of his life in
Peawanuck. He has undergone community based Guide and Hospitality
training and has attained the skills necessary to be a safe and
reliable tour leader.
Fletcher
has also been involved in the Canadian Rangers Patrol Unit for the
last few years and has recently started taking training in the Canadian
Forces Recruitment program.
Fletcher
has an uncanny memory and ability to recite humorous stories and
jokes - you will undoubtably enjoy his company.

Tour
Leaders and Guides
Wild
Wind Tour leaders and guides have been trained in all aspects of
wildlife viewing and are well versed in the ways of this rugged
wilderness.
They
are knowledgeable of the unpredictable environment of the Hudson
Bay region and have the ability to adjust to conditions to make
your tour an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Guides
are trained to view polar bears and wildlife from a safe distance
and to give them the respect all living things deserve.
